EUGENIO'S
My work at Eugenio’s began as a healthy obsession with meatball sandwiches. I started bussing tables for beers when things got busy and progressed into writing the weekly email promotions for meatball sandwiches. Eventually I was covering a shift once a week and before long I was the senior employee and general manager.
Throughout my time with Eugenio's I made and served food and drink while maintaining high standards of customer service. As the media guru I managed the social media presence, booked live entertainment, and maintained the weekly email blast. As General Manager I oversaw the opening and closing of the restaurant, maintained inventory while ensuring regular ordering, and balanced daily receipts.
WOODBLOCK CHOCOLATE
American Craft Chocolate is a growing movement and Portland, Oregon is a hotbed of activity. I had the fortune of jumping on board Woodblock Chocolate, one of the nation's leaders in its infancy. There I learned the ins and outs of sourcing cacao, making chocolate and running a small business. As an added bonus, I was also able to break into my writing toolbox and help draft and implement technical and administrative documents.
